Grilled Romaine Salad

Summer is the season of grilling and our salads are no exception to that. A simple grilled romaine salad always hits the spot during the Summer months. This recipe will take you no time to make and will definitely impress your dinner guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 Romaine hearts, tops and bottoms trimmed and cut in halves

  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Heat your grill or grill pan on high heat for about 5-7 minutes, then lower to medium heat.

  2. Meanwhile, drizzle olive oil over your romaine halves and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Once your grill is hot and at medium heat, place the halves on the grill for about 15-20 seconds on each side.

  4. Drizzle dressing of your choice over the grilled romaine halves; I recommend my Creamy Vegan Caesar Dressing. Enjoy fresh off the grill!
